Summer interns publish book

Students of the NSF Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) on “Computational Modeling Serving Portland,” the altREU program to “Design, Program, and Use Computers to Benefit Society,” and teuscher.:Lab interns edited and published a 300-page book on their summer research projects. The book publishing project was entirely led by the interns. OPENING: Summer GRA Position for NSF REU Site

We are seeking a graduate student for the summer 2024 to assist with running our new, virtual, NSF-funded Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) Site on “Computational Modeling Serving Portland.”

AS AN REU SITE GRADUATE MENTOR AND COORDINATOR, YOU WILL:

  • Prepare training modules on computational modeling, Python, Linux tools, etc.
  • Teach modules to our cohort students, mainly during the initial 2-week training period (Jun 10 – 21).
  • Assist students with their projects.
  • Plan and host meetings with our cohort.
