Students of the NSF Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) on “Computational Modeling Serving Portland,” the altREU program to “Design, Program, and Use Computers to Benefit Society,” and teuscher.:Lab interns edited and published a 300-page book on their summer research projects. The book publishing project was entirely led by the interns. OPENING: Summer GRA Position for NSF REU Site
We are seeking a graduate student for the summer 2024 to assist with running our new, virtual, NSF-funded Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) Site on “Computational Modeling Serving Portland.”
AS AN REU SITE GRADUATE MENTOR AND COORDINATOR, YOU WILL:
- Prepare training modules on computational modeling, Python, Linux tools, etc.
- Teach modules to our cohort students, mainly during the initial 2-week training period (Jun 10 – 21).
- Assist students with their projects.
- Plan and host meetings with our cohort.
