OPENING: Undergraduate REU Site Program Administrator

We are seeking an undergraduate student administrator to help us run a newly funded NSF-funded Research Experience for Undergraduates (REU) Site on “Computational Modeling Serving Portland.”

AS AN REU SITE PROGRAM ADMINISTRATOR, YOU WILL:

  • Communicate with potential and admitted students via e-mail and phone
  • Coordinate recruiting efforts
  • Design and maintain online application forms
  • Prepare application packages for review
  • Plan and organize meetings and events
  • Analyze and visualize data
  • Prepare flyers, presentations, and advertising materials for the program
  • Maintain the WordPress website

Christof Teuscher gave a tutorial on “Material and Physical Reservoir Computing for Beyond-CMOS Electronics” at the IEEE International Symposium on Circuits and Systems (ISCAS).

ISCAS is the flagship conference of the IEEE Circuits and Systems (CAS) Society and the world’s premiere forum for researchers in the active fields of theory, design and implementation of circuits and systems.

Nancy presents poster on developmental mechanisms to complexify dynamical systems at SIAM meeting

tlab undergraduate researcher Nancy MacKenzie presented a poster at the Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM) conference on Applications of Dynamical Systems (DS23).

The poster was entitled “A Mini-Review of Developmental Mechanisms to Complexify Dynamical Systems.”

The conference was held May 14 – 18, 2023, in Portland, OR.
